RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0013 (Sponsor: Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HONORABLE SAMUEL S. CO, CITY MAYOR, PAGADIAN CITY, TO URGE THE CONTRACTOR OF THE NEW LEGISLATIVE BUILDING LOCATED NEAR THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER TO FAST TRACK ITS CONSTRUCTION SO AS TO BE OCCUPIED BY THE OFFICES OF THE CITY VICE MAYOR, SECRETARY TO THE SANGGUNIAN AND STAFF AS WELL AS THE SP PERSONNEL AND THE PROPER VENUE FOR THE SESSIONS (REGULAR AND SPECIAL), COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND THE LIKE FOR PURPOSES OF EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF LEGISLATIVE SERVICES" WHEREAS, the different offices comprising the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City namely the City Vice Mayor, Secretary to the Sanggunian and other personnel and staff are presently occupying the commercial spaces at the Fourth (4th) Floor of the City Commercial Center (C3); WHEREAS, it has been observed that the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and Staff are reporting and occupying at the above-stated commercial building a single plot setting where privacy has been deprived unlike the Offices of the City Vice Mayor and the Secretary to the Sanggunian wherein their respective staff and personnel are in separate spaces but still could not be considered as convenient and comfortable enough considering the space as to where pertinent records shall be stored; WHEREAS, it is therefore essential to have an ideal space for the conduct of sessions (Regular and Special), committee meetings and the like to be able to properly discharge the duties and functions as the Local Legislators; WHEREAS, the spaces occupied by the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and Staff, City Vice Mayor and Staff and the Secretary to the Sanggunian and its personnel should later on be opened for lease to interested investors for income generating purposes; WHEREAS, this matter shall be brought to the attention of the Local Chief Executive, this city to call the attention of the contractor of the new Legislative Building located near the Office of the City Engineer to fast track its construction so as to be immediately occupied by the concern offices; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it; RESOLVED to request, as it is hereby requested that the construction of the New Legislative Building located near the Office of the City Engineer shall be provided with due attention by the City Mayor urging the contractor to fast track the construction for its completion for the important purposes as stated above; RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Office of the City Mayor represented by Hon.
