RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0008 (Sponsor: Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MS. DEGENE P. PRUTA AND MR. EDWARD JAY D. MAGHANOY, BOTH RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY GUBANG, THIS CITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY THOUSAND (P20,000.00) PESOS EACH, TO HELP DEFRAY NECESSARY EXPENSES IN RELATION TO THEIR QUALIFICATION AND PARTICIPATION TO THE FILIPINO YOUNG FARMERS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (FYFIP) IN TAIWAN FROM AUGUST 14, 2022 TO JULY 30, 2023, CHARGEABLE AGAINST ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, information has it that Ms. Degene P. Pruta and Mr. Edward Jay D. Maghanoy, both residents of Barangay Gubang, this city, have been qualified to the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program (FYFIP) in Taiwan where they are scheduled to undergo an 11-month training in Taiwan starting on August 14, 2022 up to July 30, 2023; WHEREAS, considering the significance of such training wherein the participants are expected to obtain new skills and knowledge relative to modern agricultural and fisheries techniques which will be utilized and employed in the local setting and--aware of the financial requirements attached to their participation such as, but not limited to, air fare, miscellaneous expenses to cover their VISA application, terminal fees and other incidental expenses, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, requested for an authority to extend financial assistance in the amount of P20,000.00 to each of the participants; WHEREAS, upon careful perusal and evaluation, this body deems it reasonable to support the intention of the City Chief Executive, chargeable against any available fund sources of the City Government of Pagadian; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, duly seconded en masse, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to grant financial assistance to Ms. Degene P. Pruta and Mr. Edward Jay D. Maghanoy, both residents of Barangay Gubang, this city, in the amount of Twenty Thousand (P20,000.00) Pesos each, to help defray necessary expenses in relation to their qualification and participation to the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program (FYFIP) in Taiwan from August 14, 2022 to July 30, 2023, chargeable against any available fund sources of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and favorable consideration; to the City Budget Officer; to the City Accountant; to the City Treasurer; the City Auditor; to Ms. Degene P. Pruta and Mr. Edward Jay D. Maghanoy, both residents of Barangay Gubang, this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
