RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1410 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE (BLGF), REGIONAL OFFICE IX, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THEIR REGIONAL OFFICE BUILDING AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE, BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 78, s. 2020, which mandates the full transfer of the remaining regional offices from Zamboanga City to Pagadian City, the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Regional Office IX--a recipient of lot donation at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center at Barangay Balintawak, this city, for use as site of its regional office--is now pursuing the establishment of their regional office building following the information that the necessary funding allocation for the said construction is already incorporated and contained in the National Expenditure Program (NEP), for Fiscal Year 2022, in the amount of P27,825,000.00; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing project, and considering the agency's lack of technical expertise relative to planning and design as well as the construction and maintenance of the said infrastructure project, the technical assistance from the City Government through the City Engineer's Office has been sought, thus a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Regional Office IX and the City Government of Pagadian is necessary; WHEREAS, it is thus imperative to grant the Honorable City Mayor the necessary authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of such deed, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion by Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Memorandum of Agreement with the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Regional Office IX, for the establishment of their regional office building at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site, Barangay Balintawak, this city. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to RD Gilbert B. Gumabay, Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Regional Office IX, Provincial Government Complex, Dao, this City, for their information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
