RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1358 (Sponsored by: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO CONSIDER THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT PROMOTION (LEDIP) OFFICE UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR" WHEREAS, during the Capability Building Training on Local Investment Promotion conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Board of Investment (BOI) via virtual conference, the preparation and formulation by the different Local Government Units of their respective local economic profiling were stressed and highlighted to serve as blue print for its economic development and investment promotion; WHEREAS, to effectively pursue such program, it is thus necessary for the City Government to create and establish a separate office that shall be solely responsible in the preparation, formulation, monitoring and updating of the city's economic profile to conform with the demands and challenges of time, hence, requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most proper; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion by Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to consider the establishment of the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office under the Office of the City Mayor. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
