A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF ONE (1) UNIT BIODEGRADABLE WASTE SHREDDER WITH A MINIMUM CAPACITY OF 250 KILOGRAMS, AND ONE (1) UNIT OF COMPOSTER WITH A CAPACITY OF 1,000 KILOGRAMS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES, THROUGH THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT BUREAU (EMB), IN FAVOR OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, AND TO SIGN THE DEED OF DONATION FOR THE RELEASE OF THE SAME

RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1342

"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF ONE (1) UNIT BIODEGRADABLE WASTE SHREDDER WITH A MINIMUM CAPACITY OF 250 KILOGRAMS, AND ONE (1) UNIT OF COMPOSTER WITH A CAPACITY OF 1,000 KILOGRAMS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES, THROUGH THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT BUREAU (EMB), IN FAVOR OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, AND TO SIGN THE DEED OF DONATION FOR THE RELEASE OF THE SAME"
WHEREAS, consistent with the provisions under Section of Republic Act No. 9003 otherwise known as the "Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000," the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through the Environmental Management Bureau is providing technical and other capability building assistance and support to the LGUs to ensure the development and implementation of local solid waste management plans and programs; 

WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the City Government of Pagadian is a recipient of one (1) unit Bio-waste Shredder and one (1) unit Composter and, for the purpose, a Deed of Donation is to be executed by the Environmental Management Bureau in favor of the City Government--for which an authority to accept and sign the foregoing deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor; 

WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this Sanggunian, finding the request to be more beneficial and advantageous for the people of Pagadian, deems it appropriate and reasonable to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to accept the donation of one (1) unit Biodegradable Waste Shredder with a minimum capacity of 250 kilograms, and one (1) unit Composter with a capacity of 1,000 kilograms by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, through the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), in favor of the City Government of Pagadian, and to sign the Deed of Donation for the release of the same.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and to the DENR--Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) through its Director, Engr. William P. Cunado, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
