CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA-CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROVISION OF THE AMOUNT OF FIVE MILLION (P5,000,000.00) PESOS FOR USE IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIGENT PATIENTS PROGRAM (MAIP) IN THE PAGADIAN CITY INFIRMARY AT BARANGAY DANLUGAN, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, consistent with the state's policy to provide all necessary assistance to all indigent person who will be admitted and/or confined in any government hospital in the country, the Department of Health through the Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health Development is collaborating with the City Government of Pagadian for the implementation of the Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients Program (MAIP) at the Pagadian City Infirmary situated at Barangay Danlugan, this City, where the total amount of Five Million (P5,000,000.00) Pesos is allocated for the purpose; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing program, there is thus a need for the forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and among the DOH-Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health Development, the City Government of Pagadian, and the Pagadian City Infirmary, such that a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor--which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Health (DOH) Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health and Development with reference to the provision of the amount of Five Million (P5,000,000.00) Pesos for use in the implementation of the Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients Program (MAIP) in the Pagadian City Infirmary at Barangay Danlugan, this City. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to Dr. Joshua G. Brillantes, Director IV, OIC-Department of Health Regional Office 9, Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City; and to Dr. Arnel L. Lerias, Chief of Hospital, Pagadian City Infirmary, Barangay Danlugan, this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
