Co) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. 085 ON THIRD READING AND ORDAINING THE SAME AS CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2021-491, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PENALIZING MISCHIEVOUS OR PRANK ORDERS, ONLINE SHOPPING SCAMS AND PRANK ALARMS, THROUGH ANY MEANS OF ELECTRONIC CALLS AND/OR MESSAGING, AGAINST ANY PERSON(S) OR ESTABLISHMENT, WHETHER FOOD OR NON-FOOD BUSINESS AND/OR SERVICE PROVIDERS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, UNJUST REFUSAL TO PAY, MISREPRESENTATION OF PRODUCT(S), CAPACITY TO SELL AND ARBITRARY CANCELLATION OF ORDERS" WHEREAS, Draft Ordinance No. 085 was thoroughly considered by this august body on First and Second Reading and has undergone and complied with all the required processes following the determination of its necessity and practicability, hence its consideration on Third and Final Reading was undertaken; WHEREAS, the intent and application of the proposed measure is deemed for the best interest of the general public thus merits the body's final action and approval; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves Draft Ordinance No. 085 on Third Reading and ordaining the same as City Ordinance No. 2021-491, entitled: "An Ordinance Penalizing Mischievous Or Prank Orders, Online Shopping Scams And Prank Alarms, Through Any Means Of Electronic Calls And/Or Messaging, Against Any Person(S) Or Establishment, Whether Food Or Non-Food Business And/Or Service Providers Including, But Not Limited To, Unjust Refusal To Pay, Misrepresentation Of Product(S), Capacity To Sell And Arbitrary Cancellation Of Orders."
