RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1249 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO AND THE CITY TREASURER TO OPEN AND ESTABLISH, FOR THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, A SEPARATE SPECIAL BANK ACCOUNT WITH THE LAND BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES (LBP)-PAGADIAN BRANCH AS DEPOSITORY FOR ALL THE FUNDS OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INFIRMARY OUT OF THE TRANSACTIONS WITH THE PHILIPPINE HEALTH INSURANCE CORPORATION (PHILHEALTH)" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, consistent with its thrust and mandate to provide basic health services, had just recently opened and operated the Pagadian City Infirmary, situated at Barangay Danlugan, this city; WHEREAS, in view thereof, and in consideration of the mandate of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), through its PhilHealth Circular No. 2017-0020, to implement the Auto-Credit Payment Scheme (ACPS) for all Health Care Institutions, the City Government is required to open and maintain a separate bank account for the Pagadian City Infirmary to be used as depository of the funds to be derived from all transactions with the said agency, thus an authority to establish a separate bank account for the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer has been sought; WHEREAS, this body, upon careful perusal and evaluation, deems it urgent and proper to grant the request, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co and the City Treasurer to open and establish, for the City Government of Pagadian, a separate Special Bank Account with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP)-Pagadian Branch as depository for all the funds of the Pagadian City Infirmary out of the transactions with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor; the City Treasurer; the City Legal Officer; and the Branch Manager - Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP)-Pagadian Branch, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
