Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE WESTERN MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY (WMSU) WITH REFERENCE TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 5239-K, CONTAINING AN AREA OF ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN (11,227) SQUARE METERS, AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, PURPOSELY FOR USE AS SITE OF WMSU PAGADIAN CAMPUS" WHEREAS, the Western Mindanao State University through its President, Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, RN, Ph.D., by way of a letter, requested the City Government of Pagadian for the donation of a parcel of land for use as site of the Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian Campus; WHEREAS, finding the request beneficial and advantageous to the people of Pagadian, the City Government, consistent with its mandate to provide and make accessible quality tertiary education in the city, has identified and defined Lot No. 5239-K, containing an area of 11,227 square meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center, at Barangay Balintawak, this city, as site for the Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian Campus after considering its space requirements; WHEREAS, a Deed of Donation for the purpose was endorsed to this body by the Honorable City Mayor with a request for authority to correspondingly sign the document formalizing the allocation of the area which document, upon review, is deemed in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), with reference to the City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot No. 5239-K, containing an area of Eleven Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Seven (11,227) Square Meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center in Barangay Balintawak, this city, purposely for use as site of WMSU Pagadian Campus. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; the Western Mindanao State University through its President, Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, RN, Ph.D., Normal Road, Baliwasan, Zamboanga City; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
