"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE-REGIONAL FIELD OFFICE 9, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF URBAN AGRICULTURE IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN WHICH INCLUDES URBAN MUSHROOM PRODUCTION AS WELL AS COMMUNITY GARDEN AND MODERNIZED URBAN AGRICULTURE"

WHEREAS, in line with the policy of state to provide available, affordable and safe food to every Filipino in the country, the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 9 is collaborating with the City Government of Pagadian for the establishment of urban agriculture in the City of Pagadian pursuant to its Urban Agriculture Program under the Bayanihan II Project;

WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the forgoing project, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Department of Agriculture and the City Government of Pagadian where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, for which a request for authority to enter into such deed was sought by the Honorable City Mayor;

WHEREAS, this body, upon careful perusal and evaluation, deems it appropriate and in order to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority, hence, this passage; 

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 9, for the establishment of Urban Agriculture in the City of Pagadian which includes Urban Mushroom Production as well as Community Garden and Modernized Urban Agriculture.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 9 through Regional Executive Director Rad Donn L. Cedeno, Barangay Lenienza, this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
