RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1162 (Sponsor: Committee on Education, Science and Technology and Accreditation of NGOs and POs) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DEPED)-PAGADIAN CITY SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE, REPRESENTED BY CITY SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT DANNY B. CORDOVA, EdD, RELATIVE TO THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF THE BULAWAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BULAWAN, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the body, by virtue of Resolution No. 2021-1161, approved the conversion of Bulawan Elementary School, situated at Barangay Bulawan, this City, into Bulawan Integrated School purposely to make secondary education available in the area for the benefit of those students living in the said barangay as well as the neighboring barangays; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing objective, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Education (DepED) through the Pagadian City Schools Division Office, is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified--for which a legislative authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS; the body, after careful perusal and evaluation and, finding importance and urgency of the foregoing request, deems it appropriate and in order to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to sign the foregoing deed for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Education (DEPED)-Pagadian City Schools Division Office, represented by City Schools Division Superintendent Danny B. Cordova, EdD, relative to the establishment and operation of the Bulawan Integrated School, situated at Barangay Bulawan, this city RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; the City Legal Officer; and Dr. Danny B. Cordova, EdD, CESO VI, City Schools Division Superintendent, Pagadian City Schools Division Office-Department of Education, all of this city, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
