RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1115 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE NATIONAL NUTRITION COUNCIL, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIETARY COMPLEMENTARY PROGRAM (DCP) OR "TUTOK KAINAN FOR CHILDREN AND PREGNANT WOMEN" WHEREAS, consistent with the mandate under Republic Act No. 10410 otherwise known as the "Early Years Act of 2013," which provide for the delivery of key health, nutrition, social service, early education and related services in the continuum of care from pregnancy to the first two years of life, the National Nutrition Council and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to concertedly pursue the dietary complementary feeding of 6-23 months old children as well as pregnant women in the City of Pagadian; WHEREAS, to hasten the implementation of the foregoing program, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the National Nutrition Council and the City Government of Pagadian where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, such that a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor--which request, merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Nutrition Council, with reference to the implementation of Dietary Complementary Program (DCP) or "Tutok Kainan for Children and Pregnant Women. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and appropriate action; to the City Legal Officer; and to the National Nutrition Council through Executive Director Azucena M. Dayanghirang, 2332 Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Taguig City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
