RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1076 (Sponsor: Committee on Good Government, Ethics & Civil Service and Committee on Barangay Affairs) "A RESOLUTION URGING PUNONG BARANGAY JOSEPH E. GUILLAR OF BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, TO ADVISE THE PUROK PRESIDENTS OF PUROK MAHAYAHAY AND PUROK FATIMA, BOTH OF BARANGAY DAO, TO ENCOURAGE ALL RESIDENTS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE PUROKS TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE AND SUPPORT THE ACTIVITIES OF THEIR PUROK AND, TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION RELATIVE TO THE AGREED FINE FOR FAILURE TO ATTEND ANY ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN BY THE SAID PUROK" WHEREAS, concern on the alleged relocation of purok boundaries between Purok Fatima and Purok Mahayahay, both of Barangay Dao, which accordingly displaced some residents from their intended purok as well as the excessive and exorbitant fines imposed upon the residents for failure to participate in any activities of the purok were brought to the attention of this august body; WHEREAS, the concerned Committees, to which the foregoing issue was referred for initial evaluation and consideration, revealed that the relocation of said purok boundaries as well as the imposition of fines for those residents who failed to participate in any activity of the said purok were made and agreed by the majority of the residents of both purok; WHEREAS, premises considered, it is thus necessary to urge the Punong Barangay to direct the respective presidents of both puroks to encourage the participation of all resident-members of their respective Purok in any activities with a further information relative to the imposition of fines for failure to do so; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges Punong Barangay Joseph E. Guillar of Barangay of Dao, this city, to advise the Purok Presidents of Purok Mahayahay and Purok Fatima, both of Barangay Dao, to encourage all residents of their respective puroks to participate and support the activities of their purok and, to disseminate information relative to the agreed fine for failure to attend any activity undertaken by the said purok. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished Punong Barangay Joseph E. Guillar, Barangay Dao, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for information and support. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
