RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1057 (Sponsored by: Honorable Ronald Cristopher Glenn L. Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF P.L. URRO STREET FROM JUNCTION BENIGNO AQUINO STREET UP TO F. S. PAJARES AVENUE (PARTICULARLY THE PORTION FRONTING THE SAN JOSE PARISH CHURCH), ON APRIL 09, 2021, WITH REFERENCE TO THE COMMEMORATION OF THE "500 YEARS OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE PHILIPPINES" AND THE "50 YEARS OF PAGADIAN AS A DIOCESE" WHEREAS, the Diocese of Pagadian City will be celebrating the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines as well as the 50th year of being a Diocese; WHEREAS, among the activities lined-up for the celebration is the designation and selection of the San Jose Parish Church as the Holy Door where several appropriate undertakings will be conducted thereat on April 9, 2021--thus, it is imperatively necessary to institute preemptive measures that shall conform to the strict observance and compliance to the city's mandated health and safety protocols through the temporary closure of P.L. Urro Street from the junction of Benigno Aquino Street to F.S. Pajares Avenue; WHEREAS, this body, after having urgently considered the matter, deems it practical and reasonable to approve the request, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the temporary closure of P.L. Urro Street from the junction of Benigno Aquino Street to F.S. Pajares Avenue (particularly the portion fronting the San Jose Parish Church), on April 09, 2021, with reference to the commemoration of the "500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines" and the "50 Years of Pagadian as a Diocese." RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, and all other offices concerned for information, guidance and appropriate action, and the San Jose Parish Church, for their information and guidance.
