RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1046 (Sponsored by: Committee on Human Rights & Urban/Rural Community; and on Laws, Rules & Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. 067 ON THIRD READING AND ORDAINING THE SAME AS CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2021-471, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PERSONS WHO ARE DECLARED CONFIRMED, SUSPECT, PROBABLE AND RECOVERED CASES OF COVID-19 AND VARIOUS INFECTIOUS DISEASES, RETURNING OVERSEAS FILIPINOS, MEDICAL HEALTH WORKERS, FRONTLINE WORKERS, RESPONDERS, AND SERVICE WORKERS DURING EPIDEMIC OR PANDEMIC PERIODS AND PENALIZING OFFENDERS AND VIOLATORS THEREOF" WHEREAS, Draft Ordinance No. 067, authored by the Committee on Human Rights & Urban/Rural Community and Committee on Laws, Rules & Policy Formulation, has been thoroughly considered by this august body on First and Second Reading and has undergone and complied with all the required processes, hence its consideration on Third and Final Reading was undertaken; WHEREAS, the measure as it stands, merits the body's final action and approval; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves Draft Ordinance No. 067 on Third Reading and Ordaining the same as City Ordinance No. 2021-471, entitled: "An Ordinance Prohibiting The Discrimination Against Persons Who Are Declared Confirmed, Suspect, Probable And Recovered Cases Of Covid-19 And Various Infectious Diseases, Returning Overseas Filipinos, Medical Health Workers, Frontline Workers, Responders, And Service Workers During Epidemic Or Pandemic Periods And Penalizing Offenders And Violators Thereof" APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
