RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1030 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF EXCHANGE WITH THE PHILIPPINE POSTAL CORPORATION INVOLVING THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 751 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, AND LOT NO. 9811-B, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 403.75 SQUARE METERS, LOCATED AT BARANGAY GATAS, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, on 06 January 2021, this body adopted Resolution No. 2021-0899, entitled: "A Resolution formally offering to the Philippine Postal Corporation, in exchange for the lot presently utilized as its office site situated at Gatas district, the City Government-owned parcel of land containing an area of 751 square meters situated at Barangay Dao, this city, with a further commitment from the City Government of Pagadian to shoulder the construction of a Two (2)-Storey Building thereat for use as its permanent office; WHEREAS, following the acceptance of such offer by the Philippine Postal Corporation, the formal forging of a Deed of Exchange by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Philippine Postal Corporation is imperative, thus, a request for authority to enter and sign into such deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body, finding no legal impediment thereto, deems it appropriate and in order to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to represent the City Government of Pagadian in the forging of the foregoing deed; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to execute and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Exchange with the Philippine Postal Corporation involving the City Government-owned parcel of land, containing an area of 751 square meters, situated at Barangay Dao, this city, and Lot No. 9811-B, containing an area of 403.75 square meters, located at Barangay Gatas, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for his appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; and the Philippine Postal Corporation through its Corporate In-Charge Joel L. Zamudio, 3rd floor, Main Post Office Building, Liwasang Bonifacio, Manila, for information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
