Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION CORDIALLY INVITING, IN AID OF LEGISLATION, THE BRANCH HEAD/MANAGER/SUPERVISOR OR ANY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PHILIPPINE LONG-DISTANCE TELEPHONE COMPANY (PLDT), PAGADIAN BRANCH, TO ATTEND THE 76TH REGULAR SESSION OF THE 13TH CITY COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN ON 24 MARCH 2021 AT 9:00 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING AT THE SP SESSION HALL, FOURTH FLOOR, CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3), BARANGAY SANTIAGO, THIS CITY, TO SHED LIGHT ON MATTERS PERTAINING TO THEIR OPERATION MORE PARTICULARLY ON THE ASPECT OF PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICES TO ITS SUBSCRIBERS IN PAGADIAN CITY AS WELL AS THE CURRENT AVAILABLE SPEED OF INTERNET CONNECTION, AMONG OTHERS" WHEREAS, amidst concern on the apparent inaction to transfer the internet service connection of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod from the old building at the Pagadian City Oval, Barangay San Francisco to its present office site at the 4th floor, City Commercial Center, Barangay Santiago as well as the various criticisms from the resident-subscribers over the unsatisfactory and inadequate services provided by the concerned internet service provider, the Secretary to the Sanggunian, by authority of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, invited the Branch Head of the Philippine Long-Distance Telephone Company-Pagadian Branch to attend the 75th regular session of the body on March 10, 2021 to enlighten and provide an update on the current issues regarding the Sangguniang Panlungsod internet connection; WHEREAS, sad to note, the official invitation was seemingly disregarded and ignored by the concerned company as they failed to send an official representative to ventilate on the foregoing issues--which act is contemptuous and a direct affront to the official function of this august body; WHEREAS, to prevent this inexcusable disobedience from taking precedence, it is thus necessary to extend another invitation to the Philippine Long-Distance Telephone Company-Pagadian Branch through its Branch Manager/Head/Supervisor or any authorized representative to be present in the next regular session to shed light on the prevailing issues surrounding the company's operation in the City of Pagadian as well as provide an explanation of their failure to adhere on the body's official invitation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to cordially invite, as this body hereby cordially invites, in aid of legislation, the Branch Head/Manager/Supervisor or any authorized representative of the Philippine Long-Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), Pagadian Branch, to attend the 76th Regular Session of the 13th City Council of Pagadian on 24 March 2021 at 9:00 o'clock in the morning at the SP Session Hall, Fourth Floor, City Commercial Center (C3), Barangay Santiago, this city, to shed light on matters pertaining to their operation more particularly on the aspect of providing quality services to its subscribers in Pagadian City as well as the current available speed of internet connection, among others. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, through its Branch Head-Pagadian City Branch, Cecilia Building, along Rizal Avenue, Barangay San Francisco, this City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
