RESOLUTION NO. 2021-0986 (Sponsored by: Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE APPROPRIATE FUNDS, CHARGEABLE UNDER ACCOUNT, PURCHASE OF VEHICLE, OR ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, AS COUNTERPART FUNDS OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF GARBAGE TRUCK/VEHICLE FOR USE OF THE BARANGAY GOVERNMENT OF DEBOROK" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Deborok, on its Regular Session last 08 January 2021, enacted Resolution No. 02, series of 2021, which, in gist, requested Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to allocate funds as counterpart funds of the City Government of Pagadian for the purchase of garbage truck/vehicle for use of Barangay Deborok, this city, which request was favorably endorsed to this body for appropriate consideration; WHEREAS, this body, following the favorable recommendation of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations--to which the foregoing matter was initially referred--and consistent with the provisions of Republic Act 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 as well as City Government's thrust to ensure the promotion and protection of public health and the environment, deems it appropriate and in order to grant the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to allocate appropriate funds for the purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds, chargeable under Account, Purchase of Vehicle, or any available fund sources of the City Government of Pagadian, as counterpart funds of the City Government for the purchase of garbage truck/vehicle for use of the Barangay Government of Deborok. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; the City Auditor; and the Sangguniang Barangay of Deborok through its Punong Barangay, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
