Quicoy "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A DEED OF EXCHANGE WITH THE PROVINCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE (PENRO)--DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES, INVOLVING PARTICULARLY THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED LOT, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 1,003.51 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY DAO AND THE LOT PRESENTLY OCCUPIED BY THE PENRO CONTAINING AN AREA OF 752 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY GATAS, BOTH OF THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, in line with the intention to establish a state-of-the-art City Hall building where all local government offices/departments are consolidated under one roof purposely to provide better services for the benefit and welfare of the general public, has negotiated for the swapping of the parcel of land presently occupied by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office-DENR, registered in the name of the Bureau of Lands, containing an area of 752 square meters, situated within the City Hall complex at Barangay Gatas, this city, with a city government-owned lot containing an area of 1,003.51 square meters, situated at Barangay Dao, this city, with a guarantee to shoulder the expenses for the construction of their building at the new site; WHEREAS, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office-DENR, when informed of the intention of the City Government, have expressed willingness to cede, transfer and convey the ownership of the said lot to the City Government in exchange of other landed property of the city, which arrangement has been mutually accepted by the City Government and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO); WHEREAS, for an in consideration thereto, this body, finding no legal impediment, deems it practical and reasonable to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to represent the City Government in the execution of a Deed of Exchange for the purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to execute, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Deed of Exchange with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO)-Department of Environment and Natural Resources, involving particularly the City Government-owned parcel of land, containing an area of 1,003.51 square meters, situated at Barangay Dao and the lot presently occupied by PENRO containing an area of 752 square meters, located at Barangay Gatas, both of this city. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Ben M.
