"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WITH REFERENCE TO THE EXTENSION OF FINANCIAL AND/OR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE INDIGENT AND/OR UNDERPRIVILEGED PATIENTS OF THE CITY WHO MAY BE CONFINED AT THE ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR MEDICAL CENTER" 

WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian and the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, to address concerns relating to the provision of assistance to indigents and/or underprivileged patients who may be confined at the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, have collaborated to provide necessary hospital/medical bills assistance to patients or families in crises situations in the City of Pagadian; 

WHEREAS, to formalize the scope of benefits and the corresponding obligations of both LGUs under the agreement, the Honorable City Mayor has to be given the authority to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement as sought which matter is fully supported by this body for the best interest of the City's indigent and underprivileged; 

 NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes City Mayor Samuel S. Co, to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur with reference to the extension of financial and/or medical assistance to the indigent and underprivileged patients of the city who may be confined at the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center.

RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and His Honor, Governor Victor J. Yu, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, for information and reference.
