Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ISSUE THE NECESSARY EXECUTIVE ORDER THAT SHALL BAN, LIMIT AND/OR RESTRICT THE ENTRY OF LIVE PIGS, PORK AND ITS RELATED PRODUCTS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN AS A MEASURE TO PREVENT AND/OR CONTROL THE SPREAD OF AFRICAN SWINE FEVER (ASF) IN CONSONANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2021-006" WHEREAS, the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, in view of the continued threat of African Swine Fever (ASF)-a disease common to swine or hogs-has issued Administrative Order No. 22, series of 2020, which, in gist, directs all government agencies and Local Government Units to strictly implement and comply with the national zoning and movement plan for African Swine Fever, where it identifies areas that were affected with such disease; WHEREAS, given the foregoing Order, and in consideration of the need to institute preemptive measures that will prevent and/or control the spread of such disease in the City of Pagadian as well as to protect and promote the swine/hog industry, this body deems it appropriate and in order for the City Government of Pagadian to comply and adhere to such directive in conformity with the provisions of the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-006, hence, this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to issue the necessary Executive Order that shall ban, limit and/or restrict the entry of live pigs, pork and its related products in the City of Pagadian as a measure to prevent and/or control the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) in consonance with the provisions of the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-006. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and favorable consideration; and to the Department of the Interior and Local Government through the OIC-City Local Government Operations Officer, Mr. Farouk M.
