"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO
TO SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT TO BE ENTERED INTO BY AND AMONG THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE NATIONAL POLICE COMMISSION (NAPOLCOM) AND THE PAGADIAN CITY POLICE STATION, WITH REFERENCE TO THE ADOPTION OF COMMUNITY AND SERVICE-ORIENTED POLICING SYSTEM (CSOP) AND STRENGTHENING OF THE PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL OF LGUs THROUGH THE ADAPTATION OF PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY (POPS) PLANNING"

WHEREAS, consistent with the thrust and mandate to maintain the peace and order situation of the city and in an effort to address the problems of criminality and internal security in the City of Pagadian, the City Government of Pagadian in collaboration with the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and the Pagadian City Police Station has agreed to concertedly implement the Community and Service-Oriented Policing System (CSOP) to bolster better coordination and cooperation among the local residents, local executives and the integrated law enforcement and public safety agencies existing in the locality through program or project complementation including sharing of information, funds, personnel and logistics;

WHEREAS, to hasten the successful implementation of the foregoing project, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and among the NAPOLCOM, the Pagadian City Police Station and the City Government of Pagadian is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of the concerned parties are specified and, as such-an authority to enter into such deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body;

 NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to sign the Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by and among the City Government of Pagadian, the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and the Pagadian City Police Station, with reference to the adoption of Community and Service-Oriented Policing System (CSOP) and strengthening of the Peace and Order Council of LGUs through the adaptation of Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Planning.

RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to Regional Director Benjamin De Ausen Florentino, NAPOLCOM-Regional Office 9; PLTCOL Parson J. Asadil, OIC-Chief of Police, Pagadian City Police Station, for their information and guidance.
