Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE SECRETARY OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT TO EXTEND ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY MILLION (P150,000,000.00) PESOS TO FINANCE THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A SOLAR STREETLIGHT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN THEREBY, IN EFFECT, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0291" WHEREAS, consistent with the national government's thrust to promote socio-economic development towards poverty alleviation, climate change adaptation and mitigation programs, health services and mandatory basic services, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will be providing financial assistance to support Local Government Units of their preferred development projects; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the City Government of Pagadian, while acknowledging the generosity and goodwill demonstrated by the Department of Budget and Management through the Honorable Secretary, and in availing such program, has come up with the proposal for the construction and installation of a 50-watts Solar Streetlight Project in the city; WHEREAS, the foregoing proposed project requires funding in the amount of P150,000,000.00, hence, seeking financial support from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on the particular project is indispensable; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the Honorable Secretary of Budget and Management to extend assistance in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Million (P150,000,000.00) Pesos to finance the proposed construction and installation of a Solar Streetlight Project in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that Resolution No. 2019-0291 of this Sangguniang which was enacted during its 20th Regular Session held on 11 December 2019, is hereby amended and/or modified accordingly. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, Secretary Wendel E. Avisado, Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Boncodin Hall, General Solano St., San Miguel, Manila, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and to the Honorable City Mayor, this city, for information, support and follow-up.
