Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO NEGOTIATE AND PURCHASE A PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 446-J, COVERED BY ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NO. O-1,794, REGISTERED AND OWNED BY AGUSTINA BETON, CONTAINING AN AREA OF NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT (9,168) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY MANGA, THIS CITY, WHICH AREA SHALL BE ALLOCATED AS SITE OF THE OFFICE OF THE CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE PHILIPPINES (CAAP)" WHEREAS, consistent with the City Government's commitment to effect the full transfer of all regional offices and their respective office personnel to the city, and in consideration of the preferred area of those complying regional offices that will be relocating to Pagadian City pursuant to the city's designation as Regional Government Center for the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, sought for legislative authority to negotiate and purchase a parcel of land known as Lot No. 446-J, covered by Original Certificate of Title No. O-1,794, registered and owned by Agustina Beton, containing an area of 9,168 square meters, situated at Barangay Manga, this city; WHEREAS, the above-mentioned property-upon careful evaluation and consideration-is found to be the ideal site for the office of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for reasons of practicality, accessibility and convenience of their operations due to the proximity of the area to the Pagadian City Airport; WHEREAS, this body, finding urgency and importance of the foregoing undertaking, deems it imperative to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to negotiate and purchase the said parcel of land, for and in behalf of the City Government, to be used as site of the Office of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAP); NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to negotiate and purchase a parcel of land known as Lot No. 446-J, covered by Original Certificate of Title No. O-1,794, registered and owned by Agustina Beton, containing an area of 9,168 square meters, situated at Barangay Manga, this City, which area shall be allocated as site of the office of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and appropriate action. APPROVED UNANINOUSLY.
