Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF LOT NO. 6, BLOCK 24, CONTAINING AN AREA OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND (15,000) SQUARE METERS, WITHIN THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, TO THE PHILIPPINE PUBLIC SAFETY COLLEGE (PPSC), AS SITE OF ITS NEW CAMPUS AND AUTHORIZING, FOR THE PURPOSE, HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO SIGN AND EXECUTE THE DEED OF DONATION FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, with the influx of public safety officers in Mindanao and in consideration of their intention to accommodate the demands for schooling of the said officers in Zamboanga Peninsula Region as well as the neighboring regions, the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) through its President, PLt. Gen. Ricardo F. De Leon (Ret), Ph.D., by way of a letter, has signified their intention to establish a new campus in Mindanao area preferably at Pagadian City for which they requested the City Government for the donation of at least Fifteen Thousand (15,000) square meters parcels of land for the purpose; WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, after finding the foregoing request advantageous and beneficial to the general interest of the city, has identified and defined Lot No. 6, Block 24 at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city, as the ideal site for the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC)-Pagadian Campus, after considering its space requirement; WHEREAS, to attain the foregoing objective, a Deed of Donation for the purpose was endorsed to this body by the Honorable City Mayor with a request for authority to correspondingly sign the document formalizing the allocation of the area which document, upon review by this body, is deemed in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the donation of Lot No. 6, Block 24, containing an area of Fifteen Thousand (15,000) square meters, within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site in Barangay Balintawak, this city, to the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC), as site of its new campus and authorizing, for the purpose, Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to sign and execute the Deed of Donation for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; to PLt. Gen. Ricardo F. De Leon, PPSC President, Lot 2, MWSS Compound, Katipunan Avenue cor. Ayala Heights, Old Balara, Quezon City; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANINOUSLY.
