Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD)-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAM IN THE CITY" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and commitment to provide food in addition to the regular meals to target children ages 2-4 years old enrolled in the Child Development Center (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs), City Government of Pagadian in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Regional Office 9, in compliance with the mandate of Republic Act No. 11037 otherwise known as "Masustansyang Pagkain Para Sa Batang Pilipino," have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program in the City of Pagadian; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing program, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Social Welfare and Development is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified--such that the Honorable City Mayor has sought for authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of the foregoing deed, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Regional Office 9, relative to the implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program in the city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and Regional Director Fatima S. Caminan, DSWD, Regional Office 9, 09 Gen. Vicente Alvarez St., Zamboanga City, and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANINOUSLY.
