Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT OF FREE RENTAL FOR ALL STALLS AT THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3) WHOSE BUSINESSES ARE IN TUTORIAL SERVICES AS WELL AS THE PLAYHOUSE WHICH HAVE CEASED TO OPEN AND/OR OPERATE PURSUANT TO AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ISSUED BY THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR AS A MEASURE TO PREVENT THE FURTHER SPREAD OF THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, due to the continued threat of COVID-19 in the city, the Honorable City Mayor, as a measure to contain and/or control the further spread of such dreaded disease, issued several Executive Order that provides for the observance of various quarantine protocols as well as the minimum public health protocols and-as a result thereof, many commercial and business establishment including those leaseholders/renters at the City Commercial Center (C3) were obliged to temporarily cease operations; WHEREAS, among the businesses that were mandated to close operations by such Orders are those engaged in tutorial services and playhouse for kids where they experienced financial difficulty due to loss of income, such that the City Commercial Center (C3) Board, during its meeting held on 05 January 2021, passed and enacted Resolution No. 005-2021, entitled: "A resolution Recommending to the Honorable Sangguniang Panlungsod to grant free rentals to all stalls which businesses are banned to open under City Executive Order particularly tutorial services and playhouse for kids;" WHEREAS, mindful of the foregoing predicament, this body, after careful perusal and evaluation and, finding no legal impediment thereto, deems it reasonable and practicable to approve and adopt the C3 Board's recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the grant of free rental for all stalls at the City Commercial Center (C3) whose businesses are in tutorial services as well as the playhouse which have ceased to open and/or operate pursuant to an Executive Order issued by the Honorable City Mayor as a measure to prevent the further spread of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the City Commercial Center (C3) Board through Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the C3 Board; and the Manager-City Commercial Center (C3), for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANINOUSLY.
