RESOLUTION NO. 2021-0912 (Sponsored by: Committee on Education, Science and Technology and Accreditation of NGOs and POs) "A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND STRONGLY ENDORSING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, THE CONVERSION OF LA SUERTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SITUATED AT BARANGAY LA SUERTE, THIS CITY, INTO LA SUERTE INTEGRATED SCHOOL" WHEREAS, the Barangay Government of La Suerte together with the General Parents-Teacher Association, by virtue of a joint Resolution No. 01, series of 2020, expressed their intention and desire to the Department of Education for the establishment of a public secondary school in their barangay to be known as the La Suerte Integrated School; WHEREAS, the intention of the people of Barangay La Suerte was anchored on the fact that there is no secondary educational institution existing in the area wherein students were compelled to enroll in other barangays resulting to additional costs aside from the attendant risks while traveling to and from their respective residence to their school; WHEREAS, to ensure the pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, this body, consistent with the City Government's thrusts to give utmost priority to educational growth and development in the City, deems it appropriate to strongly endorse the conversion of the La Suerte Elementary School into La Suerte Integrated School purposely to accommodate the needs of the secondary students; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to support and strongly endorse, as this body hereby supports and strongly endorses to the Department of Education-Regional Office 9, the conversion of La Suerte Elementary School, situated at barangay La Suerte, this city, into La Suerte Integrated School. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Regional Director, Department of Education, Regional Office 9, for information and favorable action; to the Honorable City Mayor; the City Schools Division Superintendent; the Barangay Government of La Suerte through its Punong Barangay; and the School Head-La Suerte Elementary School, for information, support and follow-up.
