RESOLUTION NO. 2021-0910 (Co-Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang & Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION MANIFESTING THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S CALL FOR THE RETENTION AND CONTINUANCE OF DR. ISABELITA M. BORRES AS REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION-REGIONAL OFFICE 9" WHEREAS, Dr. Isabelita M. Borres--an educator and a civic leader--is currently the Regional Director of the Department of Education for Regional Office 9 or the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, where she has advocated and promoted the importance of providing quality education in all parts of the region over and above other considerations; WHEREAS, throughout the years of service, Dr. Borres-while confining herself to live a modest family life whose integrity and probity is beyond reproach which has earned the highest esteem and respect from her friends, peers and colleagues-has been instrumental to the over-all development of the educational system of the Pagadian City Schools Division; WHEREAS, Director Borres has done a lot of improvements in this region since she started in 2015, including the implementation of five (5) foreign assisted projects, ISO Certification and establishment of DepEd IX new office building in the Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City; WHEREAS, given the exemplary and dedicated service exhibited by Dr. Isabelita M. Borres which have greatly benefited all stakeholders of the different elementary, secondary and senior high school in the city, it is but prim and proper for the City Government through this august body to convey its call for her retention and continuance as Regional Director of DepEd - Regional Office 9; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to manifest, as this body hereby manifests the City Government's call for the retention and continuance of Dr. Isabelita M. Borres as Regional Director of the Department of Education-Regional Office 9. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable Secretary Leonor M. Briones, Department of Education, DepEd Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City, Metro Manila, for her information and favorable action; to the Regional Director, Dr. Isabelita Borres, DepEd. Regional Office 9, Pres. Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center, Pagadian City; and to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information, support and follow-up. APPROVED UNANINOUSLY.
