"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR AND THE CITY TREASURER, BOTH OF THIS CITY, TO OPEN AND ESTABLISH A SEPARATE ACCOUNT WITH ANY BANKING INSTITUTION IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO SERVE AS DEPOSITORY OF ALL MONETARY DONATIONS FROM ANY PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS AND/OR INDIVIDUALS AS WELL AS CHARITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CSWDO-LINGAP CENTER"

WHEREAS, information has it that the CSWDO's Lingap Center, a local government institution, purposely established to care, protect, rehabilitate, develop and integrate children in difficult circumstances into the mainstream, is a recipient of the winning OFW entry to the DHL's GOT HEART charity contest, with the winning award of One Thousand ( 1,000.00) Euro;

WHEREAS, as a requirement for the downloading of such winning award, it is thus necessary for the City Government of Pagadian to open and establish a separate bank account where donations from private institutions/charities for the benefit of the Lingap Center will be deposited, hence, a request for legislative authority to open and establish a separate account with any banking institution of the city for the purpose has been sought;

WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body, finding no legal impediment thereto and, considering the importance and necessity of the foregoing, deems it imperative to grant the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer with the requested authority, hence this passage; 

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it 

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer, both of this city, to open and establish a separate account with any banking institution in the City of Pagadian to serve as depository of all monetary donations from any private institutions and/or individuals as well as charities for the benefit of the CSWDO-Lingap Center.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Treasurer, Ms. Nona Grace E. Duran; the OIC-City Social Welfare and Development Officer, Ms. Pilar Leslie S. Panduma; and all others concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
