RESOLUTION NO. 2021-0900 (Sponsored by: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT OF FREE RENTAL FOR STALL NOS. 2 AND 3 AT THE ROTUNDA FUNCTION HALL BUILDING, LOCATED AT BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, FOR THE SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM MARCH 2020 UP TO SEPTEMBER 2020, AND AUTHORIZING THE STALL OWNER/S TO ENGAGE INTO OTHER BUSINESS VENTURES SUITABLE TO THE PRESENT SITUATION" WHEREAS, with the declaration of the entire country under Enhanced Community Quarantine and the implementation of various public health protocols brought about by the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, several, if not most, of businesses in the city have temporarily suspended operation as movement of individuals were regulated where members of the senior citizen as well as minors were prohibited to go out from their respective homes; WHEREAS, in view of the foregoing predicament, the owner/proprietor of Kiddie Cloud--a kid's amusement facility under Lease Contract with the City Government for occupied space known as Stall Nos. 2 and 3 at the Rotunda Function Hall Building--has, by way of a letter, sought for the suspension of the monthly rental due to the closure of its business operation with a further request for permission to engage into other business ventures suited to the current normal condition, which request was favorably transmitted by the Honorable City Mayor for appropriate consideration; WHEREAS, given the urgency and importance of the foregoing matter, this august body, finding no legal impediment thereto, deems it prim and proper to grant free rental for Stall Nos. 2 and 3 at the Rotunda Function Hall Building for the period covering from March 2020 up to September 2020; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body approves the grant of free rental for Stall Nos. 2 and 3 at the Rotunda Function Hall Building, located at Barangay Dao, this city, for the specific period from March 2020 up to September 2020. RESOLVED FURTHER, to authorize the stall owner/s to engage into other business ventures suitable to the present situation. RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Treasurer; the City Economic Enterprises Officer; and Ms. Melrose B.
