RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0880 (Sponsored by: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PERSONNEL AND STAFF OF THE PAGADIAN CITY EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTER FOR THEIR SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION AND ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT IN THE CITY'S FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19 PANDEMIC RESULTING TO A MEANINGFUL DECLINE OF COVID-19 INFECTED CASES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, concern on the rising cases of COVID-19 where Pagadian City was included among the high-risk areas based on the nationally-televised declaration from the UP OCTA Research Team, the City Government, by virtue of Executive Order No. 81, issued by the City Chief Executive on November 09, 2020, created and established the Pagadian City Emergency Operation Center purposely to serve as overseer of the city government's response in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic; WHEREAS, after a monthlong of operation--it has now become apparent that the number of COVID-19 cases have significantly declined as shown by the data where the positivity rate of transmission is now almost zero and the recovery rate is pegged at 92.40%; WHEREAS, while this Sanggunian recognizes the continued threat of such disease, however, the foregoing accomplishment--which is evidently attributable to the personnel and staff of the Emergency Operation Center who have shown selfless effort, dedication, and steadfastness to contain such disease--cannot be underemphasized, thus deserving all the recognition and commendation from this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to commend, as this body hereby commends the personnel and staff of the Pagadian City Emergency Operation Center for their significant contribution and active involvement in the city's fight against COVID-19 pandemic resulting to a meaningful decline of COVID-19 infected cases in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S.
