RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0878 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF LOT 1, BLOCK 26, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 3,251 SQUARE METERS, WITHIN THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, TO THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLES (NCIP), AS SITE FOR ITS REGIONAL OFFICE AND AUTHORIZING, FOR THE PURPOSE, HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO SIGN AND EXECUTE THE DEED OF DONATION FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, with the desire and intention to fully implement the transfer of all Regional Offices from Zamboanga City to Pagadian City, the City Government, by virtue of the authority granted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod through Resolution No. 2009-0691, grants, by way of Deeds of Donation, to the transferring regional offices, the allocation and distribution of the areas within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site situated at Barangay Balintawak, this City; WHEREAS, the City Government has identified and defined Lot No. 1, Block 26 thereat as site for the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Regional Office 9, after considering its space requirements; WHEREAS, a Deed of Donation for the purpose was endorsed to this body by the Honorable City Mayor with a request for authority to correspondingly sign the document formalizing the allocation of the area which document, upon review by this body, is deemed in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the donation of Lot 1, Block 26, containing an area of 3,251 square meters, within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Site in Barangay Balintawak, this city, to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) as site for its Regional Office and authorizing, for the purpose, Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to sign and execute the Deed of Donation for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action, the City Legal Officer; to His Honor, Allen A. Capuyan, Chairperson, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, 2/F N. dela Merced Bldg.; Cor. West & Quezon Ave., Quezon City; Atty. Pinky Grace P. Pareja, Regional Director, NCIP, Regional Office 9; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
