RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0877 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO OPEN AND ESTABLISH, FOR THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, A SEPARATE BANK ACCOUNT WITH THE LAND BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES (LBP)-PAGADIAN BRANCH, AS DEPOSITORY OF THE FUNDING ASSISTANCE/GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LISON VALLEY TRIBAL VILLAGE HOUSING PROJECT AT BARANGAY LISON VALLEY, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, by virtue of Resolution No. 2020-0436, dated 11 March 2020, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Housing Authority for the establishment and development of the Indigenous Peoples Housing in Barangay Lison Valley; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, information revealed that necessary funding assistance/grant is now ready for downloading/transfer to the City Government of Pagadian-being the project beneficiary and implementor-to effect the pursuance of the foregoing project, however, a separate bank account with the Land Bank of the Philippines-Pagadian Branch is necessary such that a legislative authority for the purpose was sought by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS, this body, finding the project most beneficial and advantageous to the Indigenous Peoples of Pagadian City, deems it in order and appropriate to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to open and establish, for the City Government of Pagadian, a separate bank account with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP)-Pagadian Branch, as depository of the funding assistance/grant from the National Housing Authority for the implementation of the Lison Valley Tribal Village Housing Project at Barangay Lison Valley, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and favorable action; and all other concerned offices, for information, reference and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
