RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0876 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER AND THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO OPEN A SEPARATE ACCOUNT WITH ANY BANKING INSTITUTION IN THE CITY TO ACCOMMODATE DONATIONS FROM PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS AND/OR CHARITIES TO THE LINGAP CENTER" WHEREAS, information has it that the CSWDO's Lingap Center, a government institution, purposely established to care, protect, rehabilitate, develop and integrate children in difficult circumstances into the mainstream, is a recipient of the winning OFW entry to the DHL's GOT HEART charity contest, with the winning award of One Thousand ( 1,000.00) Euro; WHEREAS, with the foregoing development, there is thus a necessity for the City Government of Pagadian to open and establish a separate bank account where donations from private institutions/charities for the benefit of the Lingap Center will be deposited, such that the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, requested to grant authority to the City Social Welfare and Development Officer and the City Administrator to open and establish a separate account with any banking institution of the city for the purpose; WHEREAS, this body, finding no legal impediment thereto and, considering the importance and necessity of the foregoing, deems it imperative to authorize the above-mentioned individuals with such authority, hence this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the City Social Welfare Officer and Development Officer and the City Administrator to open a separate account with any banking institution in the city to accommodate donations from private institutions and/or charities to the Lingap Center. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the OIC-City Social Welfare and Development Officer, Ms. Pilar Leslie S. Panduma; and the City Administrator, Engr. Joseph Isaias M. Quipot VI, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
