RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0841 (Sponsored by: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION GRATEFULLY ACKNOWLEDGING THE EARNEST EFFORT AND RECOGNIZING THE INVALUABLE SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTION OF MAJOR GENERAL MELQUIADES L. FELICIANO, (RET.), CHIEF IMPLEMENTER-INTER AGENCY TASK FORCE FOR VISAYAS AND MINDANAO, AND HIS WIFE, MS. MIA FE FERNANDEZ FELICIANO, WHICH IMMENSELY HELPED THE CITY GOVERNMENT IN ITS FIGHT AGAINST THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)" WHEREAS, notwithstanding the stringent implementation of all the necessary public health protocols to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the city, the City Government of Pagadian expressed alarm and apprehensive over the rising cases of infected city residents with such dreaded disease, such that all the necessary support and assistance from any individual or group of persons to help contain the further spread of the COVID-19 is being sought; WHEREAS, Major General Melquiades L. Feliciano (Ret.), Deputy Chief Implementer of the National Inter-Agency Task Force, together with his wife, Ms. Mia Fe Fernandez Feliciano-- despite their full schedule-- found time to personally come to the city to impart their knowledge and competence as well as share the best practices of other LGUs which, accordingly, resulted to effectively contain and/or control the further spread of such disease, this is of course, aside from the stringent application of proper health protocols and procedures; WHEREAS, among the significant and remarkable measures introduced and now being put in place in the city is the implementation and operation of the Pagadian City Emergency Operation Center as well as the Pagadian COVID-19 Clinic which evidently showed the downward trend of COVID-19 cases and, more importantly, it is a recognized fact that through the couple's intercession the request of the City Government for the extension of all the necessary medical support to help address the COVID-19 has been reportedly considered favorably by the national government; WHEREAS, such magnanimity and selfless effort, dedication and support exhibited by Major General Feliciano, together with his better half, which have immensely help address the rising cases of COVID-19 in the city, deserves all the accolade from the entire people of Pagadian and worthy of all the recognition and acknowledgement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to gratefully acknowledge the earnest effort and recognize the invaluable support and contribution of Major General Melquiades L. Feliciano, (Ret.), Chief Implementer-Inter Agency Task Force for Visayas and Mindanao, and his wife, Ms. Mia Fe Fernandez Feliciano, which immensely helped the City Government in its fight against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Major General Melquiades L. Feliciano, (Ret.) and Ms. Mia Fe F. Feliciano, through His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S.
