"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE AISAH MEDICAL HOSPITAL PURPOSELY TO ENGAGE THE LATTER AS A REFERRAL HOSPITAL FOR THE PROVISION OF MATERNITY CARE SERVICES INVOLVING ONSET RISK CASES" 

WHEREAS, concern on the onset risk cases involved in the delivery of maternity care services to pregnant women by offering pre-natal, midwife-assisted delivery and post-natal care to mothers and newborns, the City Government of Pagadian, through the City Health Office, and the Aisah Medical Hospital-an accredited healthcare facility situated at San Pedro District, this city, and considered as higher medical facility-have agreed to forge partnership purposely to engage the latter as a referral hospital for all maternity care services offered and attended to by the former involving onset risk cases as a measure to further provide adept medical supervision of both mothers and newborns;
 
WHEREAS, to ensure successful and effective pursuance of such objective, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Aisah Medical Hospital is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of both parties are specified, such that an authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request--upon careful perusal and evaluation--merited the support and concurrence of this august body;

 NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Aisah Medical Hospital purposely to engage the latter as a referral hospital for the provision of maternity care services involving onset risk cases.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, this City, for his appropriate action; to the City Legal Officer; and the Aisah Medical Hospital, through its Medical Director, Dr. Brando Khalif Jally, all of this city, for their information, guidance and reference.
