RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0818 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY MS. CHARITY C. ULIDE, KNOWN AS LOT B-3-A, COVERED BY TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NO. 131-2019000767, CONTAINING AN AREA OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND (15,000) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, AS INDISPENSABLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S PROPOSED EXPANSION OF THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the President of the Republic of the Philippines issued Memorandum Circular No. 78, s. 2020, which, in gist, mandates all regional offices/agencies of the national government to immediately effect the full transfer to Pagadian City-being the Regional Government Center for the Zamboanga Peninsula Region pursuant to Executive Order No. 429 issued by the late President Corazon C. Aquino; WHEREAS, given the foregoing directive, and considering the fact that lot areas available for donations to the transferring Regional Offices at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center site are almost depleted, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, through its Resolution No. 2019-0147, declared as City Government reserved area all parcels of lands within the five hundred (500) meters circumference from the boundaries of the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site at Barangay Balintawak, this city, purposely for use in the expansion of such regional center site and thereby, in effect, prohibited all landowners from constructing residential houses and other structures thereat as well as selling/disposing the same except the City Government of Pagadian; WHEREAS, among the parcels of land necessary for the implementation of the proposed expansion of the regional center site in Barangay Balintawak, this city, is the adjacent lot owned by Ms. Charity C. Ulide, known as Lot B-3-A, covered by Transfer Certificate of Title No. 131-2019000767, containing an area of 15,000 square meters, thus declaring the afore-cited lot as indispensable for the expansion of the present President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center site is most appropriate and in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to declare, as this body hereby declares the parcel of land owned by Ms. Charity C. Ulide known as Lot B-3-A, covered by Transfer Certificate of Title No. 131-2019000767, containing an area of fifteen thousand (15,000) square meters, situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city, as indispensable for the implementation of the City Government's proposed expansion of the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site in Barangay Balintawak, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, this city; the lot owner, Ms. Charity C. Ulide, and all other concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
