RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0773 (Sponsored by: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR THE HEREIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES THAT WILL ACCORDINGLY HELP CONTAIN, IF NOT CONTROL, THE FURTHER SPREAD OF THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, the City of Pagadian is composed of fifty-four (54) barangays, most of which are now experiencing the enigma of the spread of COVID-19 on their constituents which now is dependent and in dire need of the City Government's medical health care facilities; WHEREAS, report revealed that breaches of protocols in compliance of minimum public health standards such as the limited movement of persons, the prohibition of mass gatherings and quarantine protocols has aggravated the situation and has greatly contributed to the rapid spread of the virus in our community; WHEREAS, to ensure a conscientious and dutiful compliance of the standard public health protocols and ascertain the proper application thereto, there is thus a need to institute appropriate health measures that will help contain, if not control, the spread of such disease, hence, this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor the following public health measures that will accordingly help contain, if not control, the further spread of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in the City of Pagadian, as herein specified, to wit: Restrict and/or prohibit all minors and senior citizens from going out of their respective residences, unless essential; Direct all barangay officials of the 54 Barangay Government Units of the city to strictly enforce such restriction/prohibition; Penalize all violators; and Establish an isolation facility with a capacity of 100 patients within the city proper. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the Local Inter-Agency Task Force (LIATF) through its Chairman, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
