RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0772 (Sponsored by: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE LOCAL INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE (LIATF) TO INITIATE PROPER MONITORING OF THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) CASES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN AND, IF APPLICABLE, EMPLOY AND/OR UTILIZE THE EFFECTIVE STANDARD PROTOCOLS INSTITUTED BY OTHER LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS" WHEREAS, the continued increase of cases of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in the city has not only brought alarm and panic to the public but also dragged down the city's economy, thus prompted the City Government to initiate and enforce drastic measures to contain, if not control, the further spread of such dreaded disease and help pump up the local economy; WHEREAS, while the City Government of Pagadian is promulgating holistic approach by instituting all necessary policies concerning the implementation of public health protocols as well as appropriate local economic stimulus to help protect public health without forgoing the economy, however, there is thus a necessity to emulate, if applicable, the best practices and health protocols undertaken by other local government units that were known to have successfully contained the further spread of COVID-19 cases; WHEREAS, commissioning the Local Inter-Agency Task Force in the City of Pagadian to conduct close monitoring of COVID-19 cases in the city and to employ, if applicable, the effective Standard Protocols instituted by other Local Government Units is most appropriate, thus this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Local Inter-Agency Task Force (LIATF) to initiate proper monitoring of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) cases in the City of Pagadian and, if applicable, employ and/or utilize the effective standard protocols instituted by other local government units. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; and to the Local Inter-Agency Task Force through the Chairman, Dr. Noel E. Ceniza, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
