RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0769 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND STRONGLY ENDORSING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, THE CONVERSION OF THE POLOYAGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SITUATED AT BARANGAY POLOYAGAN, THIS CITY, INTO POLOYAGAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL" WHEREAS, the Barangay Government of Poloyagan together with the General Parents-Teacher Association expressed their intention and desire to the Department of Education for the establishment of a public secondary school in their barangay to be known as the Poloyagan Integrated School; WHEREAS, the intention of the people of Barangay Poloyagan was anchored on the fact that there is no secondary educational institution existing in the area wherein students were compelled to enroll in other barangays where they will obtain additional costs aside from the attendant risks while traveling to and from their respective residence to their school; WHEREAS, to ensure the pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, this body, consistent with the City Government's thrusts to give utmost priority to educational growth and development in the City, deems it appropriate to strongly endorse the conversion of the Poloyagan Elementary School into Poloyagan Integrated School purposely to accommodate the needs of the secondary students thereat; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to support, as this body hereby supports and strongly endorses to the Department of Education-Regional Office 9 the conversion of the Poloyagan Elementary School, situated at Barangay Poloyagan, this city, into Poloyagan Integrated School. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Regional Director, Department of Education, Regional Office 9, for his information and favorable action; to the Honorable City Mayor; Dr. Danny B. Cordova, CESO VI, Pagadian City Schools Division Superintendent; the Barangay Government of Poloyagan through its Punong Barangay; and the School Head- Poloyagan Elementary School, for information, support and follow-up.
