RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0768 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT OF MONETARY ALLOWANCE/HONORARIUM AS WELL AS HEALTH AND MORTUARY BENEFITS TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PHILIPPINE ARMY RESERVIST-9TH REGIONAL COMMUNITY DEFENSE GROUP (9RCDG), ARMY RESERVE COMMAND (ARESCOM) WHO SHALL BE ASSIGNED AND/OR DETAILED IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO AUGMENT AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE LOCAL INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE (LIATF)-COVID 19 IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019, AND AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE APPROPRIATE FUNDS OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE PURPOSE" WHEREAS, concern on the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in the City of Pagadian, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter-request addressed to the Group Commander of the 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG)-Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM), sought for the assignment of army reservist to augment and provide assistance in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the city; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, information revealed that the request has been granted where at least fifty (50) Army Reservist personnel have been assigned and deployed in the city, for which the Honorable City Mayor, fully aware of the risks and hazards attendant to their assignment, proposes to provide them with monetary allowance/honorarium, health and mortuary benefits for their gallantry and selfless contribution and service to the people of Pagadian; WHEREAS, upon careful perusal and evaluation, this august body deems it cogently reasonable and justifiable to approve the grant of monetary allowance, health and mortuary benefits to the members of the Army Reservist who shall be assigned in the City of Pagadian; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the grant of the following allowances/honorarium and other non-monetary benefits to the members of the Philippine Army Reservist-9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG)-Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) who shall be assigned and/or detailed in the City of Pagadian to augment and provide assistance to the Local Inter-Agency Task Force (LIATF)-COVID 19 in the fight against Corona Virus Disease 2019 as herein specified, to wit: Daily Subsistence Allowance/Honorarium of One Hundred Fifty Pesos (P150.00) Per Day; Hospitalization and treatment in case the virus affects them during the tour of duty; and Financial assistance in case of death during the tour of duty. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to authorize the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds out of any available sources of the City Government for the purpose. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; and the City Auditor, for their information and guidance.
