RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0760 (Sponsored by: Committee on Agriculture, Fishery & Agrarian Reform) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY AGRICULTURIST IN COLLABORATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRARIAN REFORM TO MAKE THE NECESSARY ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION IN ORDER TO DETERMINE AND ASCERTAIN THE NECESSITIES AND ESSENTIAL SUPPORT NEEDED AND/OR REQUIRED BY THE AGRARIAN REFORM BENEFICIARIES ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), on 17 September 2020, issued Memorandum Circular No. 122, on the subject: Support of LGUs to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOS) amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic and Community Quarantine Period, which issuance was endorsed to this august body for appropriate consideration; WHEREAS, the Committee on Agriculture, Fishery & Agrarian Reform, to which the foregoing matter was initially referred, under its Committee Report No. 247 provided information that Pagadian City, at present, has four (4) existing Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs), namely: Gubang Farmers Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative; Gubang Agrarian Reform Water Works and Sanitation Association (GARWASAN); Lala Farmers Association; and Pagadian Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (PARBO); WHEREAS, in support of the Committee's favorable recommendation, this body finds it prim and proper to direct the City Agriculturist to collaborate with the Department of Agrarian Reform in relation to the conduct of the necessary assessment and evaluation to determine the needed support required by the ARBOs who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Community Quarantine Period; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Cristopher Glenn Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Agriculturist in collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Reform to make the necessary assessment and evaluation in order to determine and ascertain the necessities and essential support needed and/or required by the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Agriculturist; and all other concerned offices, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
