RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0752 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, THE CONTRACT OF LEASE WITH THE BRICKOLAGE PHILIPPINES, INCORPORATED, RELATIVE TO THE LATTER'S RENTAL OF NINETEEN (19) STALLS AND TWO (2) HALLWAYS AT THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3), THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the City Commercial Center (C3), a city government-owned commercial building, was constructed and operated, under a rent-to-own or for lease scheme, for the purpose of generating revenues to help support the priority development programs of the City Government of Pagadian for the benefit and welfare of the general public; WHEREAS, accordingly, the Brickolage Phils., Inc., submitted its application to lease a total of nineteen (19) stalls particularly Stall Nos. 97, 98, 99, 100, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 119, 120, 121, 122 and 123 including the two (2) hallways situated at the 2nd floor of the City Commercial Center (C3)--which application was duly supported by this body through its Resolution No. 2019-0206 which, in gist, interposed no objection to such application provided that the nature of business to be established must conform to the business in accordance with the pre-identified types of merchandise or services stipulated for such areas; WHEREAS, to formalize the foregoing agreement, there is thus a need for the City Government of Pagadian, being the lessor, and the Brickolage Phils., Inc., being the lessee, to execute a Contract of Lease and as such--an authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government, the Contract of Lease with the Brickolage Philippines, Incorporated, relative to the latter's rental of nineteen (19) stalls and two (2) hallways at the Second Floor of the City Commercial Center (C3), this city. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and the Brickolage Phils. Inc., represented by Roselle Marisol Andaya, 3A Floor, Xeland Building, Mayor G. Fernando Avenue, corner Guerilla Street, Sto.
