Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND STRONGLY ENDORSING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT (DBM) THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND/OR EXTENSION OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INFIRMARY BUILDING PROJECT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN FOR USE AS ADDITIONAL COVID-19 ISOLATION ROOMS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THIRTY MILLION (P30,000,000.00) PESOS, FOR FUNDING CONSIDERATION UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FUND-COVID-19 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LGUs PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11494 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE "BAYANIHAN TO RECOVER AS ONE ACT" WHEREAS, pursuant to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Local Budget Circular No. 128, dated 17 September 2020, which provides for the guidelines and procedures on the release and utilization of the Local Government Support Fund-COVID-19 Financial Assistance to LGUs under Republic Act No. 11494 otherwise known as the "Bayanihan To Recover As One Act," the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, has identified and classified as priority project, the proposed construction and/or extension of the Pagadian City Infirmary building situated at Barangay Danlugan, this city, for use as additional COVID-19 isolation rooms through funding assistance from the national government in the total amount of P30,000,000.00 under the said program; WHEREAS, the pursuance of such proposed project will help augment the present number of thirteen (13) isolation rooms which are observably way below the desirable and required number of isolation rooms based on the ratio of one (1) per 2,500 population and taking into consideration that Pagadian City has, at present, a total of 204,997 population; WHEREAS, in order to hasten the release of the requested funding and ensure the early and successful implementation of the foregoing project, the favorable endorsement from this august body is necessary as a matter of requirement, hence, this endorsement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED, as this body hereby resolves to approve and strongly endorse to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) the proposed construction and/or extension of the Pagadian City Infirmary Building project of the City Government of Pagadian for use as additional COVID-19 Isolation Rooms, in the total amount of Thirty Million (P30,000,000.00) Pesos, for funding consideration under the Local Government Support Fund-COVID-19 Financial Assistance to LGU's pursuant to Republic Act No. 11494 otherwise known as the "Bayanihan To Recover As One Act." RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable Wendel E. Avisado, Acting Secretary-Department of Budget and Management, Boncoding Hall, General Solano St., San Miguel, Manila, for his favorable consideration; and to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S.
