RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0724 (Sponsored by: Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) TEMPLATE ORDINANCE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES TO MITIGATE THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 DURING THE NEW NORMAL COMMUNITY SET-UP" WHEREAS, there is hereby furnished a copy of DILG Memorandum, dated 11 September 2020, together with the Department of Health (DOH) Template Ordinance, entitled: "An Ordinance Adopting the "New Normal" to Prevent and Control COVID-19, for this august body's consideration and adoption; WHEREAS, such Template Ordinance was set to guide every Local Government Unit in creating and/or implementing Local Ordinances involving public health promoting behaviors and other preventive measures to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 during the new normal; WHEREAS, this body finds cogent reason to support the recommendation of the Committee on Health and Social Services, to which said matter was initially referred, to adopt such Template Ordinance as it is highly relevant to the present situation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to adopt, as this body hereby adopts the Department of Health (DOH) Template Ordinance on the implementation of public health protocols and preventive measures to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 during the new normal community set-up. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; to the City Local Government Operations Officer, Mr. Farouk E.
