RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0719 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER, MS. NONA GRACE E. DURAN, TO REPRESENT THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN IN THE FILING OF PETITION WITH THE APPROPRIATE COURT OF LAW FOR THE RE-ISSUANCE OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S DUPLICATE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF TITLE (OCT) NO. O-3,376 WHICH PERTAINS TO A PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 2851, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE CITY OVAL, REGISTERED IN THE NAME OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian owns a parcel of land known as Lot No. 2851, commonly known as the City Oval, situated at Barangay San Francisco, this city, more particularly described in and covered by Original Certificate of Title No. O-3,376 issued by the Register of Deeds; WHEREAS, currently, a portion of the aforesaid area is on the process of negotiation for sale with the Robinsons Land Corporation which, in the process, have led to the discovery that the original copy of the Owner's Duplicate copy of OCT No. O-3,376 have been lost and missing; WHEREAS, despite diligent and earnest efforts to locate the Owner's Duplicate Copy of the aforesaid title, the same cannot be found or located by the City Treasurer's Office through the incumbent City Treasurer who has the custody of all legal documents including the original owner's duplicate copies of titles of the City Government of Pagadian; WHEREAS, by reason of the foregoing, the Original Owner's Duplicate Copy of OCT No. O-3,376 is now deemed lost or destroyed; WHEREAS, premises considered, there is thus a necessity to file a petition for the re-issuance of the said Original Certificate of Title before the appropriate court of law, hence, authorizing the incumbent City Treasurer to represent the City Government of Pagadian in the aforesaid proceedings of petition for the re-issuance is most appropriate and in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the City Treasurer, Ms. Nona Grace E. Duran, to represent the City Government of Pagadian in the filing of petition with the appropriate court of law for the re-issuance of the Original Owner's Duplicate Copy of the Original Certificate of Title (OCT) No. O-3,376 which pertains to a parcel of land known as Lot No. 2851, commonly known as the City Oval, registered in the name of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co for information; the City Legal Officer; and the City Treasurer, Ms. Nona Grace E.
