RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0718 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO PURCHASE, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, A PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 2915, PLS-119, COVERED BY TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NO. T-36,560, WITH AN AREA OF ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY 0NE (1,271) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY LUMBIA, THIS CITY, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWENTY-ONE MILLION (P21,000,000.00) PESOS, FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE AS NEW SITE OF THE PABLO LITIGIO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL" WHEREAS, presently, the Pablo Litigio Elementary School was established in a City Government-owned property situated in the Pagadian City Sports Oval Complex, at San Francisco District, this City, where the school buildings--upon evaluation and assessment, were found to be structurally unsound due to the damage brought about by the occurrence of heavy downpour aside from the limited lot area which is no longer conducive for educational learning, thus the immediate relocation of such school is strongly recommended; WHEREAS, finding urgency of the foregoing concern, the Honorable City Mayor has identified a privately-owned parcel of land known as Lot No. 2915, Pls-119, containing an area of One Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-One (1,271) square meters, situated at Barangay Lumbia, this city, as ideal relocation site for the Pablo Litigio Elementary School--which lot area has been offered for sale by the registered owners to the City Government--such that a legislative authority to purchase the same has been sought by the City Chief Executive; WHEREAS, to hasten the pursuance of the foregoing project, and considering the need to institute appropriate measures that will prevent the occurrence of any untoward incidents that might endanger the lives and limbs of the students thereat, it is thus necessary to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the authority to purchase the subject parcel of land in the total amount of P21,000,000.00 based on the appraisal value of the City Appraisal Committee as contained in its Resolution No. 12, series of 2020; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to purchase, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, a parcel of land known as Lot No. 2915, Pls-119 registered in the name of Emiliana A. Tiongco; Julita A. Duco; Conchita A. Awox; Adriano E. Aninon; Virginia A. Bachiller; Ricardo E. Aninon; Simeon E. Aninon, Jr.; and Merilyn A. Lozano, situated at Barangay Lumbia, this city, in the amount of Twenty-One Million (P21,000,000.00) Pesos, for the exclusive use as new site of the Pablo Litigio Elementary School, as described hereunder, viz: Lot No. : Lot No. 2915, Pls-119; Title : Transfer Certificate of Title No. T-36,560; Area : One Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-One (1,271) Square Meters RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S.
