RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0716 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION STRONGLY SUPPORTING THE PROPOSED UPGRADING OF THE PAGADIAN CITY POLICE STATION INTO A SPECIAL TYPE "A" CITY POLICE STATION" WHEREAS, the Philippine National Police--Police Regional Office 9, by way of a Memorandum, has recommended four (4) City Police Stations, namely: Pagadian City Police Station, Dipolog Police Station, Dapitan Police Station and Isabela Police Station; to be considered as a Special Type "A" City Police Station; WHEREAS, the recommendation was anchored on the need to sustain the government's effort in intensifying security measures and proactively deter the spillover of terrorism and violent extremism, repression of prevalent crimes, entry of illegal drugs, and smuggling, among others; WHEREAS, in view of the foregoing premises, this body, finding such proposal will contribute and promote to the over-all development of the city's peace and order situation as it will provide an additional police personnel complement; create Mobile and Seaborne Patrol Unit under the operations section composed of four 8-man patrol teams; provide nine-man EOD/K9 Team; and provide for a five standard 55-man Police-Community Precincts (PCPs), finds it cogently reasonable and justifiable to strongly support the recommendation to upgrade the Pagadian City Police Station into a Special Type "A" City Police Station; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to strongly support, as this body hereby strongly supports the upgrading of the Pagadian City Police Station into a Special Type "A" City Police Station. RESOLVED FURTHER, favorably endorsing the recommendation of the Philippine National Police--Police Regional Office 9 for the upgrading of the Pagadian City Police Station. RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Mercedez, Zamboanga City, for his information and favorable consideration; and the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
