RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0712 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND STRONGLY ENDORSING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, THE CONVERSION OF BOGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BOGO, THIS CITY, INTO BOGO INTEGRATED SCHOOL WHEREAS the Barangay Government of Bogo together with the General Parents-Teacher Association of Bogo Elementary School, by virtue of Resolution No. 01, series of 2020, jointly expressed their intention and desire to the Department of Education for the establishment of a public secondary school in their barangay to be known as the Bogo Integrated School; WHEREAS, the intention of the people of Barangay Bogo was anchored on the fact that there is no secondary educational institution existing in the area wherein students were compelled to enroll in other barangays resulting to obtain additional cost aside from the attendant risks while traveling to and from their respective residences to their school; WHEREAS, given the foregoing premises, and to ensure the pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, this body, consistent with the City Government's thrusts to give utmost priority to educational growth and development in the city, deems it appropriate to strongly endorse the conversion of the Bogo Elementary School into Bogo Integrated School purposely to accommodate the needs of the secondary students; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to support, as this body hereby supports and strongly endorses to the Department of Education-Regional Office No. 9 the conversion of the Bogo Elementary School, situated at Barangay Bogo, this City, into Bogo Integrated School. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Regional Director, Department of Education, Regional Office 9, for his information and favorable action; to the Honorable City Mayor; the City Schools Division Superintendent; the Barangay Government of Bogo through its Punong Barangay; and the School Head-Bogo Elementary School, for information, support and follow-up.
